Last 4 episodes of this season of Doctor Who watched. Easily the worst RTD season. The good stuff is retreads (73 Yards is Turn Left, Rogue is Girl in the Fireplace) and the rest is awkward social commentary and magical bullshit. Final verdict: give it a miss.

Finally watched the first 4 eps of the current season of Doctor Who. Space Babies: embarrassingly immature The Devi's Chord: really rough villain performance Boom: decent central idea, bizarrely bad dialogue 73 Yards: finally a good one, albeit with a plot that makes no sense

Damn. William Russell was truly superb. He was still doing audio dramas for Big Finish well into his nineties and he'd lost none of his talent.
