Today we @infoNILE once again witnessed the power of community storytelling in #ClimateSmartAgriculture. Collaboration by key stakeholders is essential in ensuring effective adaptation to the #climatechange crisis. We are grateful the Omoro community for being so kind to us.
We have come to the end of the community exhibition📸 in Gulu. Key take away- there’s a knowledge gap among farmers & other stakeholders in relations to #ClimateSmartAgriculture. The media are committed to upscale science communication.
Traditionally, when farmers harvested beans, they would burn the waste to produce soda ash for cooking. But after training by @csjuganda, the farmer has learnt how to ferment the waste and use it for mulching and to plant cocoa seedlings.

For years, farmers in Acholi subregion have been facing post harvest losses. In my story, the featured farmer is using tarpaulin for drying crops, proper storage activities & post harvest handling machines like threshers to minimize losses. #ClimateSmartAgriculture

#Climate_Smart_Agriculture exhibition organized by @infoNILE, Climate Smart Jobs and Media Challenge Initiative in Onyona, Omoro. #Resilience @PACJA1 @PacjaU @DelicateSive
The panel discussion is live🎥 We’re bringing together voices that matter- from policymakers, agribusinesses, community leaders & the media. Topics include; ✅Sustainable farming solutions ✅Policy support & investment ✅Community & private sector engagement

By celebrating culture, we are bridging traditional wisdom with modern farming. Culture celebrates our identity and traditions, builds our pride and ownership, tells our local stories through rhythm and movement. The Acholi are not an exception. #ClimateSmartAgriculture

As we explore innovations in #ClimateSmartAgriculture, we honour the roots that ground us. Climate change isn’t just about technology it is about people, culture and connection.
The private sector is here to show the community how to; 📌Drive innovation with modern technology 📌Boost funding and investment in sustainable farming. 📌Connect farmers to markets and value chains 📌Ensure #sustainability of ClimateSmartAgriculture solutions

The photo exhibition tour is open! The community is witnessing their own stories of resilience, innovation & food secure future.

We continue to witness #climatechange which calls for the need to adapt to by understanding the challenges as well as the solutions. These could be seeds that can survive droughts, new farming techniques that require less water or a more efficient way of shedding your grain.

We realized that it’s not enough to work with farmers only, that’s why we partnered with agribusinesses to ensure they reach more people through the media. The goal is to that ensure #climatechange spoken about in a way that is understandable to us all. - Matthew Rupanga

The locals are here to witness how climate smart solutions are transforming our communities. Featured journalists are showcasing powerful stories from the field. Stories of resilience, innovation and impact in the face of #climatechange.
The Gulu #ClimateSmartAgriculture community exhibition is on. All stakeholders are present and we are looking forward to a fruitful engagement on how to adapt to #climatechange effectively.

In Bol Nyapo village, Akangi parish Ogur sub-county in Lira district, the land is badly dug up, with dirty water & many people doing mining. Human activity is damaging nature, destroying the land, hurting animals & plants, and making the environment struggle to heal. #GLCSMS
