I’m getting a new work computer next week. So, I went to backup and clear out my desktop, and was pleasantly surprised by how quick it was. Then, I remembered: My desktop My downloads folder


I may appear nonchalant, but I assure you, I am chalanting about a lot of things actually.
My kids: What are you doing at work? Me: Planning our media days. My kids: What do those include? Me: Headshots on white background, staged action, photo tunnel, team photo, things like that. My kids: Can we do them too? Me: I guess. What did you have in mind? My kids:




Being an amazing creative creator is not enough. You have to help those above you get an understanding of the power of social media, and the wide range of possibilities in creative content. Don’t just manage down, manage up. Show and PROVE your value to your director/manager.

Managers: “Burnout is bad. Make sure you take vacations, and unplug on weekends, summers and evenings.” Also managers (at 8pm, on a Sunday, in July): “Where you at?” Put your money where your mouth is. Time off means time off!
Being new to a job is like being a new character on season 5 of a show. It’s awkward, at times embarrassing, and all you’re trying to do is figure out where you fit. Don’t worry. You’re not there by mistake. You’re there because they believe in you. Believe in yourself.
“Can you support a combination of 1080 and 720 sources, some are progressive and some interlaced, some drop frame and some are not, while frame-synching all of them for IP transmission with fiber backup?” Me: SURE!! “Can we also add a PowerPoint source?” Me:
The way you treat anyone is the way you treat everyone. From the CEO to the receptionists. From the Manager to the assistants. From the VP to the maintenance crew. Everyone deserves a “hello”, a “good morning”, a “how are you doing?” Be kind, be respectful, be appreciative.
A fun team makes fun content. A happy team makes happy content. An innovative team makes innovative content. A micro-managed, under-resourced, over-criticized, under-appreciated, over-worked, under-paid team makes, well…

Install day for our new field hockey and rugby outdoor PTZ cameras. Looking forward to additional live and replay angles for all our upcoming broadcasts!!




Creativity is a team sport. Maybe you don’t edit the same project, or shoot the same content (or maybe you do…), but you inspire each other, you motivate each other, you remind each other why you’re doing this, and you hold each other accountable for being a good teammate.
