Returning to my alma mater LSE, I spoke about how #Taiwan has contributed to secure supply chains & continually enhanced its competitiveness, in spite of the challenges in its way. Today, Taiwan is a critical link in the global economy & a key factor in technological advancement.

Grateful to @FAPA_HQ for bringing this year's cohort of emerging leaders to #Taiwan to experience our country first hand. It was a pleasure to engage with such an impressive group of young people on pressing global issues & the importance of safeguarding democracy.

Going back to my alma mater LSE was a very special moment for me. It was a privilege to address students & faculty about changing international dynamics, especially in trade, & how democratic #Taiwan remains globally indispensable in these times of uncertainty.

Speaking at the University of Cambridge, I shared my thoughts on the challenges facing the world & what #Taiwan is doing to strengthen its resilience & safeguard its democracy. I thoroughly enjoyed engaging with students & faculty on these important topics.

After addressing the Copenhagen Democracy Summit several times virtually, I was delighted to be here in person & to be welcomed by former PM @AndersFoghR Rasmussen. In my speech, I emphasized the importance of resilience in safeguarding democracy in #Taiwan & around the world.

At Vilnius University, I spoke to former Lithuanian President Dalia @Grybauskaite_LT as well as students & faculty. My message: that democracies, big & small, should stand together to defend our values & hard-earned freedoms.

These past two days, I've had the privilege of seeing the sights & learning about the history of Lithuania. I also had the chance to meet with Taiwanese students in Vilnius & bring them a taste of home. Being here to witness the #Taiwan-#Lithuania friendship has been inspiring.

Wonderful to be here in Vilnius sharing a meal & excellent conversation with firm friends & supporters of #Taiwan from the #Lithuanian parliament. I’m deeply grateful to you all for standing with Taiwan & standing with democracy.

Today I am heading to #Lithuania & #Denmark to meet with friends of #Taiwan & reaffirm our shared commitment to democratic values. During this trip, I hope to strengthen Taiwan’s relationships in Europe & encourage a deeper understanding of Taiwan globally.

I extend my heartfelt condolences to the Catholic communities in Taiwan and around the world on the loss of Pope Francis. His profound messages of peace and universal love resonated deeply with me and will live on through us all.
