With this particular conversation, I have had it good. In pry sch, only my mum showed up cos my dad was always away for work. Beyond that, it was always my dad. He never missed anything—from common entrance, JAMB, to graduation. He would sit there & chat with the mothers.

I can’t even relate to this. All my life in school, my Dad was the present one. My mum only showed up few times. And yeah he was paying the fees and also had a job!

The narrative is opposite for me. My dad literally retired early so he could watch his boys grow. We could have had much more money but he chose presence over affluence. I'll forever be grateful for his sacrifices. I love you Dad.

Went for my Nephew's graduation today and it was 100% mothers.. The men present were just the staff of the school. A very sad sad something!!

Don't bother with those arguing. The importance of fathers being in their children's life in such events cannot be overemphasized. I've had to close shop to be home with my child as she recovers. We didn't want her to resume school & the sick leave my wife took just ended

I attend all meetings and seminars even end of the year party even thou I might be late to some programs but I always tried to be there,despite my tight schedules I planned myself ahead of my son school programs except we weren't invited,As a father,we need to create for our kids

Sometimes, the reason you feel you’re not good enough is because you’re not good enough.

Some of us, nobody dey show up. Lol. When my parents told me they were coming for my Call to Bar, it felt weird to me. Like, yeah, I know you guys care but this ain't part of our routine. Unfortunately, I had grown thickskinned into the old normal, the enthusiasm wasn't there.
