I don’t think it will happen and I’m not saying it should happen, but the way the Cardinals came out of the All Star Break and the way they played against Colorado…that’s the stuff that gets managers fired.
A lot of people are struggling to find where to place their anger. But maybe it's one of those things where it just didn't work out. That's baseball. What looks good on paper doesn't always translate to future performance.
There's a lot of revisionist history going on about that Edman trade. At the time, it was a good deal for the Cardinals--they needed pitching and Edman hadn't played all year. It hasn't turned out well but I don't fault Mo for it.
