The same Jag trainer was the converted prototype for India's upgrade from NavWASS to DARIN-2 standard. I flew the maiden flight in September 2003. This was followed by rollout of the 17 Jag trainers in DARIN-2 standard in 2004 and then 20 fighters in DARIN-2 standard.
