We were delighted to welcome to @ODPP_KE to HMCPSI headquarters where we discussed the value of independent inspection and shared HMCPSI’s 25 years’ experience of inspection to assist the Kenyan delegation in developing their inspection approach.

We have been warning about the seriousness of court delays since 2019. We welcome the government review into Crown Courts – radical action to clear the backlog is urgently needed.

Very pleased to see this. Anthony has always been a great ally in working to improve the justice system for victims of crime, and has led @hmcpsi well this past year. He would be very deserving of the role, and hope he will be given the opportunity to continue his excellent work.

Today @attorneygeneral has announced that Anthony Rogers has been named as the preferred candidate to be the next Chief Inspector of His Majesty’s Crown Prosecution Service Inspectorate. He will appear in front of the @commonsjustice on 28 January for a pre-appointment hearing.
