A privilege to witness the burial of an unknown casualty of the Black Watch, and an unknown casualty of a Scottish Regiment today at the opening of @CWGC Loos British Cemetery Extension.

Their Name Liverh Forevermore Private Elsie Handley, ATS Age 28 18 July 1944 Killed alongside her Mother & Aunt when a Lancaster crashed onto family farmhouse. Offley, (St Mary Magdalene) Churchyard Commemorated by @CWGC crash incident detail attached to Forevermore entry

#OtD 22 Jul 2005 Brazilian commuter Jean Charles de Menezes was killed by armed London police at Stockwell tube station. It’s about Tyne 🥳 It took a lot of lobbying but we are delighted the final funding for the Tyne Bridge restoration has been secured. We are already ahead of schedule with the restoration but this isn't just a paint job... ...more than 1,000 individual repairs are required 🤯
