This paper is so flipping cool. And the developmental piece is so neat. I am soooo curious whether the emergence of the inter-effector network is linked to milestones like sitting, reaching, crawling, walking etc... when infants are capable of goal-directed actions 😱
We are thrilled to announce the winners of the inaugural #NBS Early Career Award. Congratulations to Nick van der Aa and Regina Triplett on their much deserved awards. Thank you to all those that submitted a proposal.
A nice little summary of our new paper out in PNAS. link.growkudos.com/1q2uuiaw16o
Super excited to be in Seoul 🇰🇷 at #ohbm2024 and share our recent work examining the development of intrinsic 🧠 activity in babies 👶, a la @valerieJsydnor & @sattertt . Come on by and see me M/Tu at Poster 1278!

I’ll be talking about my work on prenatal environment & the pace of brain development at @OHBM @OHBM_Trainees during the Tuesday symposium at 12 PM with chairs @StephForkel and @philkuhnke. Since I'm not able to make it in-person, please connect with me here for Qs! #OHBM2024
Ever wonder how people's brains differ from one another? ➡️ Individual differences in 🧠 organization commonly come in 2 forms: shifts in borders & 'ectopic intrusions' far from expected locations Now out in @NatureNeuro, led by @allydworetsky rdcu.be/dGeIp 🧵soon!
How to find massive motor plasticity effects in the subcortex? Find out in our preprint. biorxiv.org/content/10.110… Turns out these new findings change our understanding of #Parkinson disease and some #sleep processes. Let me unfold it With @ndosenbach @gordonneuro @dillannewbold
We’ve parcellated the neonatal cortical surface based on abrupt changes in functional connectivity, resulting in a set of 283 highly homogenous cortical surface parcels in a sample of n=261 neonates. Preprint now available! biorxiv.org/content/10.110…
I’m excited to share our new preprint – led by @hyejinjadelee & Derek Smith – where we applied precision approaches (i.e., extensive per-participant data collection) to behavioral measures of inhibitory control. osf.io/preprints/psya… A 🧵 …
Representations of #emotion concepts are relatively stable by mid to late childhood and synchronize between individuals during adolescence New from @emocodesCCP @ccplab_wustl @BarchDbarch @ChadMSylvester @hashtagAshleyN @joe_culver et al. nature.com/articles/s4159…
It was a bliss to work together on this paper. great #teamscience @gordonneuro @ndosenbach and everyone on it. Now out @Nature This deserve a little sketch🖌️. Comment if you recognize one of the @club_scan participant as a Somato-Cognitive Action Network puppet
Thrilled to share our review led by @hashtagAshleyN, with the amazing Alice Graham, reviewing task-fMRI in infants and how early circuit function relates to psychiatric risk! Baby brains at work: how task-fMRI can illuminate the early emergence ... sciencedirect.com/science/articl…
🎉🎉🎉🎉 Congrats @RLTriplett !! Well deserved!!

For those who made the great mistake of missing the FIT'NG conference earlier this week 😉, come learn about the impact of prenatal exposure to adversity on functional networks that is observable at birth! Lots of parallels with later development. 1-G-119 #Flux2022
Had a great time talking at the first ever FIT'NG conference #fitng2022 ! What a great session! I am so excited for all the science to come in the next few days 😍👶🧠

Hey @lufthansa, my flights to Paris for tomorrow were cancelled. Did I receive any email that my flight was cancelled? No. Was I able to rebook/get a refund online? No. Can I call and sort this out? No. A recorded message pointed me to the website and hung up. What can I do?
