I f*cking love data.
I was asked in an interview about talks or public presentations I've given. Thought it might be useful to publish them here. Most of them are in Spanish, but here goes anyway: 1. Modern Data Stack @thedatapub An attempt to demistify the word "modern" by going through the cycles…

this is so good
Using LLMs to engineer better is a skill. I’d even go so far as to say mastering that skill is roughly as hard as mastering coding in the first place. It’s not magic it’s a deeply complex tool that requires 100s to 1000s of hours of practice.
yeah, opening a thread of stuff i’m putting on the new laptop first one’s warp terminal, thought it might be bloated, but got it looking sexy and useful in like 15min
tarballs are blocked, but cloning repos work, so I just built cpython with gcc 💀
got a macbook at work, cool, but it had normie network configs so I got blocked out of copilot, gpt, all llms for a day. it’s wild how much these things boost productivity. I was already thinking all the things I’d need to reschedule cause I wouldn’t finish even if I didn’t…
“you’re absolutely right”. yes I am, claude. yes. I. am.

started drinking creatine and magnesium and I’m waking up tight
got my hands on a chatgpt enterprise licence and I gotta ask, how do you eval custom gpts? asume there’s no way to get an API key
my biggest professional advice right now is to drop the junior vibes as fast as you can. learn to express yourself clearly and go so deep into product/tech that confidence just pours out of you in every conversation.

If you are a technical founder, you do not need a non-technical cofounder.
unpopular take, but i’m bullish on consulting. LLMs just speed up the grunt work: number crunching, research, meeting notes, structuring findings. coincidentally, they still suck at slides, and ofc they can’t play golf with the client. golden era for consulting imo.
nps went up to 60 the second day, we’re so back
released a RAG chatbot and got 28 nps on the first day, am I cooked?
