Maple class had a great day at Hertfordshire Zoo! We enjoyed seeing lots of animals - the lions were a particular favourite. We managed to escape from the dinosaurs in one piece!

Beech class had a fantastic time at Hertfordshire zoo!! We enjoyed looking at all of the animals and the dinosaurs too. What an amazing day!!

As part of our last full day of Term, Hazel class had a special treat, a visit from Jo's Ice cream van! Everybody loved the raspberry sorbet with marshmallows and sticky sauce!

Congratulations to Caitlin, Prayan and Maaz for receiving attendance awards for the last 3 weeks! Well done all :)

Beech class had a very fun and busy Sports Day! We enjoyed taking part in lots of the activities such as the egg and spoon race, bouncing on the trampettes, throwing the bean bags into the hoops, and the dance party, especially head, shoulders, knees and toes!

Sycamore class did some amazing work at Sports Day! They worked so hard, and loved having their families come and join in and support them 🙂

Maple class pupils had a fantastic afternoon of activities for Sports Day! Thank you to those parents who were able to attend - we appreciate your support.

Hazel class have enjoyed visiting the music room this week! We played on the drums, piano and guitar and played together in a group!

Maple class took inspiration from the artist we are focusing on, Andy Goldsworthy, and made pictures using items we collected in nature.

Some of our amazing pupils - such an honour to work with them everyday 💚

We are having a great time at our prom!

In maths this week Maple class pupils made a tally chart of the eye colour of everyone in our classroom. We used the mirrors to see what colour eyes each person had and added this information to our tally chart. We then used this data to create a pictogram.

Beech class loved a visit from Misty the therapy dog this week. We enjoyed sitting next to her and stroking her fur!

For our topic 'Day and Night', Willow class have been learning about the animals that come out at night. We painted our animal's different colours and used coloured paper to create different textures.

A guard of honour for a true gentleman! Wishing Jim an amazing retirement from all at Harlow Fields 💚

Last week in Willow class, we had a visit from the laughter specialist! We enjoyed the snow machine and feeling the texture of it.

In Maple class we continued our science topic of 'Materials' by exploring whether each material was hard or soft. We looked at each item individually, then pupils chose whether to put their item in the tray labelled 'hard' or 'soft'.

In Art this half term Maple class are studying the artist Andy Goldsworthy - he is a sculptor and photographer who uses natural materials to create artwork. Pupils went for a walk outside and used the iPad to take photographs in nature - they did a fantastic job!

Pupils in Willow class enjoyed their ICT lesson where they waited their turn and then chose their favourite songs/activities on HelpKidzLearn.
