Boundaries protect connection. Don’t shy away from talking about what is okay and what is not. You cry? I cry. You laugh? I laugh. You're happy? I'm happy. You jump off a cliff? I'm gonna miss you. Boundaries.
For any talk or lesson remember, if you want to end feeling great about your presentation, sincerely focus on “what will bless these people” NOT “what will impress these people.”
Life can be much better when you delete hurtful people from it. Yes, be kind. Yes, be long suffering. But no, don't silently endure and endorse abuse.

An amazing church lesson can quickly become a not so amazing church lesson by going 5 minutes over.
Tip generously. Smile. Remember names. Offer compliments. Hold the door. Wave to your neighbors. Pay people more than you have to. Return carts. Be on time. Help clean up. Write kind notes. Let others merge. Donate your change. Say thank you. Small acts can echo for generations.
When we go out my wife prefers to use gift cards if we have them. Now I just buy gift cards to places I want to go and say "I have this gift card we haven't used yet."
