HANK.

sometimes he’s unaware of how needy and clingy he is from an outsider’s perspective.. though it’s most obvious when he’s drunk, you can find when he walks with hank he is always attempting to remain shoulder to shoulder with them, always bumping shoulders.

i should say that in downtime / freetime on hank’s end when there is no missions to be done or tasks to complete that they will seek out the sheriff by stalking him through the vents of MERC facilities, just to stare, no killing. and sheriff can feel it.

death’s a normality in nevada, hank wasn’t the only one who had a bone to pick with him. if anything.. jeb has dragged him along for trouble he doesn’t want him to be in while also putting him in a safer position and that is harder to digest than to just project hatred onto hank.

..to clarify, part of sheriff’s hatred to hank is really repressed hatred to jeb. it is just easier to be angrier at hank though and blame them, alleviates some complex stress but gets stressful when that complex needs to be deconstructed.

i feel an itch to refresh or explain the specific dynamic i have for sheriff and hank for anyone new or anyone whos been around for when i dont elaborate and just doodle. whether that’s right now or later.. i find it important, so i will at some point.

i need to draw sheriff with his face having small kisses of soot.. its a detail i keep forgoing, its important, when they ‘kiss’, it’s hard to see on hank but they get covered in soot that comes from sheriff. smells like burnt, but its nice..

they both smell bad and they will both tell the other they smell bad and then do nothing about because the bad smell is kind of nice. one smells like sweat and burnt and the other smells like rot and blood, and they come away from each other with an exchange of scent. gross .

i still feel like this, studying hurts me but the idea that i get to doodle them, not being sloppy but staring at each other with tension thicker than the wall around the sector makes me ecstatic.
