we are recruiting! looking for a postdoc with great electrophys and data analysis skills for a project in collaboration with @drstephjones and @dr_alexharris to study the role of beta frequency shifts in decision-making.
3 years ago I wouldn't have imagined that our ambitious MEG project with Saskia Haegens @haegenslab @andrea_e_martin @joeyzyzyzy on the beloved α & β oscillations in cued exemplar and feature production would come out so cool! 🧠🗣️🥼 Check out in eNeuro: pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/38490743/
Heart over head? @_Esra_Al @arnovillri @TilmanStephani @haegenslab &co study motor excitability & muscle activity across the #CardiacCycle, revealing #heart-brain interactions that suggest time windows optimized for action or #perception #PLOSBiology plos.io/411FFhN
Really excited to share my latest publication with @haegenslab 'Genuine beta bursts in human working memory: controlling for the influence of lower-frequency rhythms' advances.in/psychology/10.… See below for a thread with more details :)🧵
Super happy to be presenting our work with Saskia Haegens @haegenslab & @andrea_e_martin on the role of, admittedly my favourite, α & β oscillations during rule-switching in a language production task @SNLmtg! Join me at Poster A85 today from 10:15-12:00!
Paper on alpha oscillations and distracters suppression is out (open access) in NeuroImage sciencedirect.com/science/articl… TLDR: distracters suppression by alpha activity is reactive and stimulus-specific. Work together with twitter-less Aarti Ramchandran and @haegenslab
