Once again, I am asking you to help my friend Ruslan, a police paramedic who was wounded by Russian shelling and is undergoing surgery in Kyiv. He’s had to relocate his whole family and is struggling. If the link👇doesn’t work, PayPal below (1/2) 💵 👉 send.monobank.ua/jar/5Getyejxmb

It’s no exaggeration that Ukrainian public opinion is in an absolute firestorm after the parliament today approved a law essentially dismantling independent anti-corruption agencies, just days after SBU raided key investigators. The law isn’t enacted until Zelensky signs it — and…
Corruption = Death. One of the many signs I saw during tonight’s protest, where I was struck both by the number of people protesting, and the average age of the protesters: the vast majority of them were aged 20 to 35 years old, at most.
In central Kyiv, hundreds of people have gathered to protest the adoption of law №12414, which they say weakens anti-corruption safeguards by curbing NABU’s independence and threatening judicial reform. Critics warn it’s a step back for Ukraine’s EU aspirations. #Ukraine

"Shame!" shouted many Ukrainian lawmakers as a majority formed from Zelensky's ruling party, pro-Russian oppo bloc & Yulia Tymoshenko's Batkivshchyna voted to, in effect, dismantle Ukraine's independent anticorruption institutions. My story on a grim day: ft.com/content/21cf3d…
A major and unpopular decision, opposed by many in Ukraine, was adopted by the Parliament: changes to the functioning of two independent anti-corruption bodies. Essentially, they’ve been shifted from somewhat independent institutions to ones subservient to the Presidential Office

i’ve been pretty consistent in saying that eastern europe as a whole has a nazi problem but there’s been a concerted effort to deny that ukraine does specifically and in any case all ukrainians certainly aren’t nazis—most ukrainians fought in solidarity with the red army

Clarification on the number of additional Patriot systems that will be delivered to Ukraine courtesy of German Defence Minister Boris Pistorius: "Germany will contribute to the urgent delivery of five much-needed Patriot systems as quickly as possible".
Kyiv is burning, once again. Russia keeps bombing innocent civilians, night after night, while the rest of the world looks on.

Kyiv is once again under a massive drone attack, could hear multiple explosions from my building – the latest one set off car alarms nearby.
Russia is carrying out mass war crimes against Ukrainian children. Still.
I have a hard time not remembering this part
#OTD 11 years ago, Russia shot down a civilian plane #MH17, killing 298 people. We remember the victims and continue to work to bring those responsible to justice.
Dobropillia; Donetsk. Russia dropped a heavy glide bomb on a packed supermarket. There are many fatalities and wounded according to local sources. On a personal note, have driven down this road many times; it was always a buzzing hub of civilian activity.
Funny your eyes were closed during the 8 years Ukraine was killing Russians huh?

1/ Hundreds, perhaps thousands, of Russian soldiers have been executed by their own side during the war in Ukraine – a practice called "zeroing out" or "resetting to zero". It's not just a disciplinary measure but a reflection of rampant corruption and criminality in the army. ⬇️
Ukraine’s 28th Mechanized Brigade repelled a Russian assault near Toretsk. The attack involved a so-called “Tsar Tank” with a mine roller. Around 60 FPV drones were needed to destroy it due to reinforced armor and lack of obvious weak points. Footage shared by DeepState.
