I am not driven by the fear of failure. I am driven by the fear of spending my life succeeding at things that don’t help humans, community or the world
This gives me a ton of joy. I'll be giving more people access in the coming days.
chat, I've built my first iOS app. Testflight dropping as soon as Apple approves it. Reply "gimme" if you want to get as addicted as my friends that have tried the web version.
My terribly unpopular opinion is that I think CEOs are human beings and don't deserve to be murdered in broad daylight.
Over the last year I've been mentoring a high schooler who wants to join the military, he reports to West Point for the first time next week. This is advice I penned for him, posting this for any soon-to-be service academy families out there. Link below.
If I could give one piece of advice to 22-year-old me: Don’t chase being impressive. Chase being valuable. The people who get noticed are the ones who quietly solve problems—not the ones who try to look important.

What's something people only romanticize because they've never actually done it
if AI is so good why am i still saying “speak to a representative” 47923 times on every customer service call
loved the @prenuvo experience and will be doing it every year, as i’m genetically high risk for a very specific cancer that’s hard to catch early. thinking about layering @function on top of this. any thoughts? anyone have a code or referral?
A lot of VCs have overnight become experts on wildfires, but there’s only one VC who is actually an expert in wildfires. Bill is both a volunteer fireman and runs a fund (@convectivecap) focused on climate resilience and wildfire prevention.
How to solve wildfire: 1) Forest & fuel management (need to 100x what we do now in terms of acreage per year) 2) Rapid detection & initial attack (camera + satellite detection with <10 minute drone suppression response) 3) Home & community hardening
It’s actually the opposite. We don’t value marriage and family nearly enough. Most people on here larp because it’s cool to be trad right now. The reality is, most people don’t have strong beliefs on what they even believe marriage is. Or what they look for in a partner. It’s…
I think people on here overhype the importance of marriage and family. In reality, you can live whatever lifestyle you want as long as you can afford it. Financial stability is the real adult milestone. What one does with that financial stability is up to the individual.
A good question for identifying these people is whether they had a “circle of friends.” This type doesn’t build friendship in circles. it’s linear. 1:1. There’s a consistent “picking” that this type has done since childhood, often subconsciously.
One of the things I’ve noticed about extraordinary pickers of talent is that they don’t see themselves inside the group they’re picking from, even if they lead it. They are true outsiders, chroniclers. People who watch the world from afar and notice things. There’s usually a…
yallllll FYI @UberEats has a terrible bug — and support refuses to refund all orders to the actual totals. checkout screen shows the Uber One discount, but when you go to check out it doesn’t apply the benefit and charges you the full amount. (plus, tip is calculated on the…

theater + music kid 🙋🏽♀️
One of my more controversial beliefs on raising children is that you probably want to raise theater kids. Theater, debate, speech, song, something that requires performance in front of a room full of people, alone with a spotlight, where if you fail you fail alone. Learning the…
