I rarely travel to South Africa in the middle of their winter even though it’s the best time to see big game up north & also taste red wine down south in the Cape around a fire. 🔥 Incredible views, wines & hospitality tonight from Graham Weerts & his team at Capensis. 🍷🇿🇦

Oh Ben - it was a 20 minute red card. SA received a yellow during the same period. It was literally 15 vs 14 for 10 mins due to that red. Suck it up! 🏆🥂🍾🇿🇦

I don’t often drive to Belgium 🇧🇪 for a wine tasting but this past weekend we were generously hosted by South African wine importer extraordinaire, Luc Vannevel, CEO of @Elvamawines who kindly shared a bunch of rare treats from his cellar. 🍷💥🇿🇦

By the time of Van Riebeeck's departure, there were growing upon the farm at Wynberg 1,162 orange, lemon, and citron trees, ten banana plants, two olive, three walnut, five apple, two pear, nineteen plum, and forty-one other fruit trees besides some thousands of vines.
