A visit today to Shropshire for Saturday afternoon footie with @davidearlgray for a friendly between AFC Bridgenorth and Tividale FC . Nice setup and not a bad game, home side 2-1 winners.

The good lady and mi self had a smashing day at the Sandringham Flower Show, and guess who was there?

Tuesday night footie with @davidearlgray was Northamptonshire, Roades FC 0 V Northampton ON Chenecks FC 0 Quite a competitive 0-0 draw, both sides had chances and Chenecks had a penalty saved.

No footie today, but myself and @davidearlgray had a trip to the Derbyshire Dales last night for a friendly between Cromford & Wirksworth Town FC 3 and Teversal FC 0 very picturesque setting it was.

Was on the LROS stand at the Global Birdfair in Rutland today with @c4hub and @davidearlgray busy morning, great talking so many lovely like minded people. Also a few laughs.
LROS did a Peregrine watch today, and were very busy showing people the adults that never move off the Cathedral spire all morning. The 3 juveniles did have a fly around, then went back to their nesting platform.

Out again this evening with @PMRiddle checking 8 more of our Owl boxes under licence. But sadly only 2 adults seen and no eggs or chicks. We did have a couple of Little Owls and a couple of Grey Partridge.

Spent a few hours on the LROS stand at the Leicester University Botanical Gardens plant sale today. Talking to the visiting public about all the things Leicestershire & Rutland Ornithological Society do within the two counties #LROS #Leicecsteruniversity #VC55

Had a few hours at Frampton RSPB today with @davidearlgray and Andy (Gucci) Smith. Always a good day at Frampton

Been out this evening with @PMRiddle checking some more of our Owl boxes under Licence. Out the 5 we checked, adults were at the boxes but only one box had 3 chicks. Not a good year for Barn Owls? On our patch anyway. We did have one of our kestrel boxes with 4 chicks👍

Busy morning at the LROS Peregrine watch, and great to see all 3 Juveniles. Also great to talk to all the people that stopped by.

Been out this morning with @PMRiddle checking some Barn Owl Boxes under Licence in South Leicestershire . It’s not good news on our patch. 8 boxes checked There were pairs of adults at 5 but no chicks. 1 box with 1 adult and 2 chicks and 2 boxes with no activity at all.

LROS successfully launched Two Tern Rafts this morning onto Swithland Reservoir. Within 15 minutes of Andy and Josh returning to shore a Common Tern was on the rafts making a scrape, result!
