XAT-Catalysis for Intramolecular Biaryl Synthesis (S. Butterworth, M. F. Greaney and co-workers) @greaneygroup @Tom Sephton onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1002/an…
We had a great time at the annual Manchester PGR conference last week, congrats to Alfie, Haiwen and Nourah for giving some great talks, and to Jack for his poster. Thanks to all the organisers for putting on a great event!

We’re really excited to disclose the final version of our protocol to synthesise benzenes from pyridines in a single operation via an N to C switch, now online (and open access) @Chem_CP. Congrats to Aife for her solo efforts on this project! cell.com/chem/fulltext/…

Just accepted in @angew_chem, we report an amide linked, photocatalytic STR biaryl synthesis that can be telescoped to achieve a challenging C-N arylation of anilines. Check out @Tom__Sephton's work here! onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/epdf/10.10…

New paper hot off the press! We report a system that uses anilines to aminoarylate alkynes, furnishing complex enamine products in a single step. Congrats to Zi for all her work on this! @ChemCommun pubs.rsc.org/en/content/art…

We had a great time at Bristol Synthesis yesterday, big thanks to all the organisers and speakers!

Big congrats to Tasos for passing his PhD viva today! Many thanks to @cjoneschemistry and @JamesLabChem for examining!

Just out in @JOC_OL, we leverage an aryne-enabled Smiles-Truce rearrangement for the cascade synthesis of biaryls. Congrats to Ani and Danielle for their hard work! pubs.acs.org/doi/10.1021/ac…

"In the end, it would probably be better with a carbon instead, give me the black paint" Check out this article from @greaneygroup! It describes how to replace your nitrogen with carbon! @UoMChemistry #SciArt ⌬ #Research ⌬ #Chemistry
Out now in Chemrxiv, we're excited to report a simple protocol for the direct synthesis of benzenes from pyridines, through an N to C switch. Congrats to Aife for her work on this project! chemrxiv.org/engage/chemrxi…

Haiwen's C-H pyridine arylation is out now in it's final form!
Regiodivergent Arylation of Pyridines via Zincke Intermediates (Michael F. Greaney and co-workers) @greaneygroup #openaccess onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1002/an…
Just accepted in @angew_chem, we report a tunable system for C4/C5 Pyridine C-H arylation using Zincke imine intermediates. Congrats to Haiwen for all his work on this solo effort! onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1002/an…
Very happy that our cobalt catalysed reductive coupling of dienes and pyridines is online now @angew_chem! Congratulations to the whole team for their hard work! doi.org/10.1002/anie.2…
Really excited to share this! It's a reaction that I've had a lot of fun with and was a great project to work on. Check it out over a coffee!
Just out in #orglett (@JOC_OL) we report a new and exciting approach to pyrrolidinone synthesis using a Smiles-Truce cascade! Check out @Tom__Sephton's work, in collaboration with the Butterworth group and sponsored by @lifearc1. pubs.acs.org/doi/10.1021/ac…
Greaney, Butterworth, and coworkers report a new synthesis of valuable pyrrolidinone scaffolds from widely available reagents via Smiles-Truce cascade. Check it out in #OrgLett @greaneygroup @lifearc1 @tom__sephton pubs.acs.org/doi/10.1021/ac…
