I ordered a CT scan in August 2024 for a patient with severe pain & disability—in Victoria, BC. It was just done. In Australia, it takes a couple of days (public or private). They have many imaging options. We don’t have them here.

Marc Garneau, the first Canadian to fly into space, has died. He flew into space three times from 1984 to 2000. He spent 29 days, 2 hours and 1 minute in space. Garneau later served in Parliament from 2008 to 2023.
BREAKING: Canada's first astronaut, Marc Garneau, has died at the age of 76. In a statement, his wife Pam said "He passed away peacefully, surrounded by the love of his family". Garneau was elected to Parliament in 2008 and served as Minister of Foreign Affairs and Transport.

Canada isn't flawless, but when it comes to maternity leave, it's a blessing. Having the privilege to take 12 to 18 months off to bond with my newborn is something I cherish deeply. Many of my friends in the U.S. don't have this luxury. This is a gift I do not take for granted.
