It's become increasingly upsetting to see the nature and prevalence of knife crime in the city. It has always been a scourge but we routinely report on incidents involving children who should in in school or playing with friends. Today we launch Deep Cuts deepcuts.birminghamlive.co.uk

Earlier this year a police inspector was granted anonymity after he committed gross misconduct by instigating a relationship with a sex worker and then "abandoning" her without paying. We have successfully challenged the anonymity order and can now name the former officer. 🧵
