🎓 President Emeritus. Led five great universities. Proud Father and Grandfather. Bow tie enthusiast.
I can't think of a better way to celebrate West Virginia Day today than by showcasing the very best of what makes West Virginia so special. These students are true Mountaineers, helping their neighbors in need. wvutoday.wvu.edu/stories/2025/0…
Thank you so much for your kind words, Sen. Capito. I appreciate our friendship and the opportunities we've had to work together.
Thank you, @GordonGee — for your leadership, your vision, your heart, and all you’ve done for our state!
Thank you @westvirginiau. I have always said that if you love West Virginians, they will love you back. West Virginia, I will always love you. Being the President of West Virginia University was the honor of a lifetime. Thank you for the honor of serving you twice.

I am so grateful to our faculty, staff, students, alumni and friends in the Eastern panhandle for their fabulous gold and blue spirit. And I predict the babies I met will grow up to be Mountaineers!

I am truly blown away and honored by this incredible portrait by WVU's own Professor Naijun Zhang, which will live at WVU Medicine. If only I looked that good in person!

I had my last faculty senate meeting with faculty leadership over the past ten years. We had a few boxing matches over the years but were always respectful. Thanks for great leadership.

Great to see my friend and Kanawha County Commission President @bensalango. I love seeing the great work alumni of our University are doing in our state.

Join me as I chat with my last graduating class as president of West Virginia University at our fabulous Gradfest event. It has been an absolute honor and privilege to get to talk to so many wonderful students over all these years. youtu.be/7PNYz82Py88
Congratulations @DoctorAliRezai! Dr. Rezai was recently awarded the Ellis Island Medal of Honor, one of the highest recognitions given to an American. It is given to those that have made a humanitarian impact and have ties to Ellis Island/Immigration. wvumedicine.org/news-feed/news…

Please join me in thanking our University police officers as we celebrate National Police Week! enews.wvu.edu/articles/2025/…
I am so proud of our Competitive Cheer Squad. National Champions!

We recently had the WVU Dance Team to Blaney House to celebrate their many successes in representing our University.

Our Country Roads program is West Virginia's only IPSE program in the state, which prepares Mountaineers with developmental and/or intellectual disabilities for independence. I look forward to meeting our latest class as they cross the commencement stage in May! #IPSEDay

We had a great evening with the new First Family of WVU. Welcome home!

Congratulations to WVU’s 27th Truman Scholar- Sophie Slaughter! I had the honor of getting to surprise Sophie with the great news. Very proud to have another member of this incredible community at WVU.
Sophie Slaughter is the University's 27th Truman Scholar. This scholarship is given to college juniors with exceptional leadership potential and a commitment to public service. 👏
