Relevant. One of my favorite Knicks of all time.
Less than a year ago, a pair of Kobe Bryant’s game-worn sneakers sold for $34,160. Last night, they sold again, this time attributed to his first NBA start They fetched $240k at @SCPAuctions. cllct.com/sports-collect…
Hosted a spectacular event last year with the 🐐’s, Andrew Bernstein and @natlyphoto The most important thing people took away? The power of the moment. Imagery has become timeless in the digital age. It is what drives values for game worn, and it is what drives the…

My first game worn purchase I got robbed by a serial fraudster who disappeared after I sent the money. Met him on eBay. A true con-job, I found out the guy had changed his name 3 times and lived in Canada. All his stories checked out. He got me bad at a time where the loss was…

How mad is the seller of the Kobe shoes right now? That the community is calling these shoes out. I’d say pretty mad. Just like the others who have been called out. It gets to a point where some of these sellers just want to muzzle the community. I’d imagine SIA is pretty…
Not shocked, but the buyer of the $240,000 Kobe sneakers is new to game worn. And follows this account. Will make sure they are fully informed moving forward and will always be available for any questions. Makes me sick when people take the time to get educated, and then have…

Photomatching: The Good, The Bad, and the Ugly.
Solid note from @goatcollect: These shoes sold for $34,160 with Goldin just over eight months ago — including the current LOAs on the photo-match and signatures. Quite an escalation.
Davious Photomatching using the Kobe Bryant @sia_photoMatch letter to promote their business. Seize the Moment!

We do see a bit of an “Authenticator” battle when it comes to pointing out issues and a fight for credibility. RobinLou who hid behind his company, RAI photomatching, while issuing authentication letters for Goldin, should not be the poster boy for change.

A very important statement from the great Jerry West about how teams used to treat game worn jerseys: “They used to discard these older uniforms. Throw them in the trash. Crazy to think that.”
The game worn community is definitely in need of a Collectors Association. And it is being worked on as we speak. Our hobby has grown at a rapid pace, and standards need to be set for new entrants to understand how our domain operated in the past, how it has developed, and set…
