2022 was mostly about professional work for me, teaching and visual development were the two big new challenges. But still tried to paint for myself every once in a while
A very early painting I did for Across the @spiderversemovie we were early in developing the look of Spider-Man India’s world. Lots of inspiration taken from classic Indian Indrajal comics. The aesthetic and broad choices had been set by @AYMRC ❤️🕷️#visdev #AcrossTheSpiderVerse
My favorite set of color keys I did for @TMNTMovie , loved painting these. Set design by @SeanSevestre . It’s amazing how close @mikrosanimation was able to match the final shots to these paintings. #MutantMayhem #tmnt #visdev

I love this shot because PD Yashar Kassai ( instagram.com/yashar.cc?igsh… ) did such a complex high wire balancing act of creating visual clarity through contrasting hue instead value. The colors are cool and unexpected. We wanted to throw out the animation playbook on this one
