As an MC you’ll appreciate that sometimes audiences need to keep their questions succinct because of time. That happened once or twice, max, today. The rest of the time, people expressed their concerns, no holds barred. At the end of the day, we are all on Uganda’s side. I hope.
If this is about CSOs, Grace, how much time has been dedicated to people’s queries? Someone is busy framing a qn and they are reminded to cut them short. Meanwhile the people who are supposed to be listening have all the time in the world.
Are we really at the same conference? 🤔 Because this is not what’s going on in the room.
This should be renamed to “Annual updates to CSOs Conference” because you clearly do not want to listen to them. You are more interested in speaking down at them.
The 3rd conference is a build up of previous engagements with civil society. Since then there has been a better understanding of the human rights and business issues in the oil and gas sector. #UGOilCSOMeet
