I wasn't familiar with Dr. Barrett's life or work prior to his announcement today, but I must say that I congratulate @MattMBarrett on his entrance into the ACNA and his new position among the faculty at @TASeminary. May the Lord preserve and bless you in this new stage of life!
Dr. Matthew Barrett joining the ranks of papists like Cranmer, Ridley, Larimer, Hodge, Simeon, Whitefield, JC Ryle, Packer, and Stott is definitely a sign that he’s about to swim the Tiber.
Are KJV-onlyist Baptists divided into subsets of some being okay with later updates to the KJV, and others are strictly 1611? And do those 1611-onlyists therefore affirm the Apocrypha, which was printed in it?
Anyone in a non-REC parish in the ACNA: was the 1979 BCP the primary edition used prior to the 2019? Or did most parishes go back to the 1928 for a time? I imagine it’s the former, given how heavily influenced the 2019 is by the 1979.
