I'm not really a cat, I'm a teacher in Saint Louis. Here's a blog about it: https://medium.com/alternative-news-on-saint-louis-public-schools
Trump doesn't talk about your podunk union, and I'm focused on my work. You cannot talk about your work because you're ashamed. Scabs and bootlickers like you have no place in the labor movement. Where's Ray these days anyway? stltoday.com/news/local/edu…
Such absurd language games. To be clear, this passage shows that the Times is using Hamas numbers for deaths, but cannot verify that those deaths were all or even mostly caused by the IDF. They use "many cases" to keep it vague. Who killed the civilians in the other cases?
Breaking News: Israeli military officials say they have no proof Hamas routinely steals UN aid, undercutting a claim Israel has used to limit food for Gaza. nyti.ms/4opoK4n
The productivity paradox nobody talks about: Yes, ChatGPT makes you 60% faster at completing tasks. But it reduces the "germane cognitive load" needed for actual learning by 32%. You're trading long-term brain capacity for short-term speed.
Okay guys, this is bad, but there's good news. We elected a president who famously loves to fire people. These guys screwed up bad, so they all get the boot as soon as Trump hears about it. That means an all-new cabinet. Who will be the new VP? Elon? theatlantic.com/politics/archi…
The elusive president of Saint Louis's teachers' union, Ray Cummings, came out of hiding to make a really nasty Facebook post that is kind of about elections. It's worth reading to see what happens to unions that sell out their members. medium.com/alternative-ne…
I wanted to know why my union sucked so I looked into it. It's a story of corruption over a few decades involving a state take-over, an Obama-era education reform, and a leadership coup by the union's biggest slimebag. medium.com/alternative-ne…
I wrote a history of a corrupt teachers' union and how it lost its way. The AFT-420 might be a uniquely awful creation of financial crises in Saint Louis and Obama-era education reforms, or it might point to bigger issues in organized labor. Stay tuned! medium.com/p/the-history-…
Unheard Voices: The Teachers of Saint Louis Public Schools. Read about the survey SLPS does every year and never talks about. medium.com/p/unheard-voic…
District has a budget surplus, a teacher shortage, and has opted out of their salary schedule for a decade. The hometown newspaper runs this story about how awesome a 7% wage increase is that sources only admin and union presidents and lies about basic math. Real journo needed.
