I don’t give a damn WHO it is… Big Ten, SEC, Big 12, ACC or my favorite team. You will never convince me playing 9 power 4 games is a good schedule or that it’s right. 10 OR MORE power 4 games is the ONLY acceptable answer.

It appears the fictional salary cap is not going to happen and it’s business as usual except the deals have to be submitted for record. SMH NCAA is insanely ill-equipped to deal with anything that has happened in college sports for the last 20 years.

SP+ uses 3 main factors 1. returning production (legit factor) 2. recent recruiting (you can have a high ranking class that’s a bust) 3. recent history (how is this relevant in the transfer portal era) Determining the difficulty of a schedule from preseason is VERY biased.
Six Big Ten teams do not play any non-conference P4 teams this season but play 9 conference games. SEC has 9 of the top 10 in SP+ strength of schedule.
Schedules need to be standardized in college football. Balance conference membership. 8 conference games. 1 P4 non-con vs 3 other conferences 1 buy game for G5 or FCS OR Super league with divisions 10- SIX team divisions NFL style with two conferences.
Only 3 SEC teams play 10 Power 4 games… 12 Big Ten teams play 10 Power 4 games… SEC homers will take what is a difficult conference and try to make it like they are playing NFL teams. SEC is 1-5 vs Big Ten the last 2 years. 0-2 in CFB Playoff.
