I keep seeing this claim and, literally every single time, it’s followed up with a host of democrats and progressives saying “actually, if he’s in there he should be locked up forever.” The attempt to “well, both sides…” this is pathetic and dishonest.

The claim by Rep Marjorie Taylor Greene, that protesters in Kyiv and other cities want Zelensky to make a peace deal with Russia, is false. These protests are against a bill signed into law by Zelensky which critics say weakens Ukraine's anti-corruption authorities.

Actually, Majorie, the signs and the slogans all say “Marjorie Taylor Greene is an ape with alcohol breath.” You’d know that if you could read Ukrainian.

Solid points but the questions remain: 1) Why wasn't this addressed prior? 2) Why did you all need to pass this with the fucking speed of light? 3) How will NABU and SAPO "work" on holding the government accountable when they are fully beholden to the government?

Please don't engage in cult behavior for the leader of a country that isn't even yours. It's embarrassing. Ukrainians are protesting what's going on, and declaring your unconditional support just looks stupid. The best thing to do is to not comment on another country's politics.

If you are following the debacle over anti-corruption agencies in Ukraine 🇺🇦 this is the most comprehensive factual account I saw.

Unsurprisingly, Marjorie Taylor Greene is lying. This protest had absolutely nothing to do with Zelensky "refusing to make a peace deal" or "ending the war". I know, because I was actually there.

I was at this protest (and I'm in this video) and I can categorically say this completely false: not one person or sign at this protest mentioned Zelensky "refusing to make a peace deal and end the war". Stop lying.
