A thread of my Steven Gerrard comps

The level of opposition isn’t great but this is just an example of the range of qualities he had - aggressive in duels, physically imposing, a great athlete, ball progression, playmaking, ball striking and presence. The prototype of a perfect midfielder.

My main criticism of Dalglish as a Player Manager is that he didn’t play himself often enough. Even at 35/36 whenever he played he was always one of the best players, if not the best, on the pitch.

2004/05 Gerrard was absurd. By far my favourite version of him. Best player in the world. No other midfielder in history leads that 04/05 Liverpool to a UCL win.
