In your opinion, could Minecraft's transportation system use an overhaul? If so, how should it be done?
Since the Minecraft combat tests were the last time Mojang wanted to develop something for longer than a year, and that was 5 years ago, the only opinion I'd add to this thread retroactively is that these three overhauls are very unlikely to happen: (1/7) x.com/gaspoweredpick…
1. End Update: If Mojang were to make this update at the scale of 1.16, it would certainly need more than a year. This is not only because the current End has notably less features than the old Nether, but also because 1.16 had to be crunched to be delivered in the time it did.
Since cowards and liars can no longer deny Israel is committing war crimes and genocide against Palestinians, can we address the harm done to people who lost their reputation, degrees, jobs, safety, and lives for speaking out when it wasn’t politically expedient?
I'll honestly be content if we don't see a full block set this year I think the shelf by itself has been more impactful than any past, present, or near future blockset. The levels of creativity have legitimately leveled up since having a shelf.
Kinda crazy how we're yet to have a traditional "Full Block" yet in 2025. I know STL added Test Blocks but they're creative only. The last full block was Resin/Resin Bricks in December 2024!
Shelves have 4 blockstates when powered with redstone, the first three are when you place 3 shelves together so its tileable, and the last is when there's no adjacent powered shelves
This is used for copper golem statues being placed The trend of tech changes being introduced for a mob before it is announced continued
mayhaps this is the foreshadowing change
looking at everyone's shelf creations is so fun. this is a drastically more important decoration addition than just adding a new blockset
I was right that mojang would let us turn it into statues
Fun fact the copper golem's eyes are in a different texture file so copper golems have a closed eye state
The copper golem statue and shelf block are now available for testing! Watch the copper golem turn into a statue once it’s fully oxidized and test the shelf to display decor or to swiftly swap items from your inventory- out now in Bedrock beta & preview and coming soon to Java…
What are some Vanilla Minecraft systems, mechanics, or progressions that you think need to be improved upon?
Today marks 7 years since Minecrafts Update Aquatic released, bringing with it Tridents, Coral Reefs, Frozen Icebergs, Dolphins, Turtles, Cod, Salmon, Pufferfish, Tropical fish with over 3k vatiants, better swimming, shipwrecks, buried treasure. And so much more!!!🌊🔱 #Minecraft
How would I do an update aquatic part 2? Increase the ocean depths Remake the ocean monuments, bigger. No more gold, at least 64 sponges in every monument. A broken conduit at the centre, like a ruined portal. Teaches the player about them. Tridents are now craftable (1/?)
