Everybody is focused on Grinder's generational sun-run, but @SamGreenwoodRIO is hard at work pumping out 2000 very funny words on Dunaway having an entire day to prepare for short-stack poker, and then instantly calling it off with T6s
- I can't imagine caring enough about the WSOP Main that I would go on twitter and whine about it being behind a paywall, but not caring enough to spend $20 on hours and hours of content - I feel like Grinder (of all people) really should have won that pot with 44 vs Dunaway 92…
Who I'm rooting for tomorrow: 1. Literally anybody who says 'fuck it we ball' and tries to win $10m instead of hanging on for $250k payjumps.
Floated this at one of the Aria HRs, a couple modifications: - build the buzzer in to the shot clocks - buzzer won’t go off in the first 5 seconds of your turn - no additional penalty for more time on clock - has a 1/1800 chance of going off every second after first 5
Rule change idea to tax tanking: A buzzer sounds randomly every hr or so. Whoever the action is on has to blind straddle next hand, 1bb for every full 5 secs that have been used. Serial tankers much more likely to get buzzed & to have bigger straddles. Bonus - straddles are fun!
evergreen.
I’ve said this before, but poker tours should just ban proven cheats, chronic stallers and extremely unpleasant players. You don’t have an inalienable right to play poker anywhere you want, and it’s almost certainly a good business decision for them too. Even if not @WSOP,…
42 left in the 50k, 38 pay. Allin for 3.2 million with KK vs TT to be top-3 in chips. Flop 445, turn T. Not my summer, adios Vegas see you next year.
Against my better judgement, I have decided not only to reg the main on Day 1, but also to play from the first hand. East to West jet lag is rough, I've been up so many hours, I'm just bored. Spicy hands incoming, gl me
Vegas underrating the @valkyries. Already 9-7 with a +2.3 differential, and they're about to get FIVE rotation players back from Eurobasket (same as rest of the W combined). They're projected to win fewer than 40% of their games from here on out.
From the poker table to the trading floor: A former pro player-turned-hedge fund founder says the skills overlap and tells @sonalibasak how. Watch the full episode of Bullish on the Bloomberg app bloom.bg/4n4Ih9l
Did an interview on @BloombergTV about the intersection of Finance and Poker with @sonalibasak and @Liv_Boeree , think it turned out pretty great: bloomberg.com/news/videos/20…
WSOP trip #1 in the books. Cashed 3 out of 11 tournaments (14th in the 25k 6max, won shootout table, 9th in a wynn 1k) off of 18 bullets. Back home, rebooting for the Main
Won my first table 🤠
1.5k shootout today. Gonna FT just so I can wear a thematic cowboy hat to annoy my wife

Nothing like that first blast of hot, dry air hitting you in the face the second you walk out of the airport. Kicking off my sixteenth summer in Vegas with the 1.5k deuce, vamos
