Here’s your semi-regular reminder that the lady in these images in NOT MEIKO KAJI (梶芽衣子). It’s Yumi Takigawa (多岐川裕美), in New Female Prisoner Scorpion (新女囚さそり ７０１号), which came out after Meiko left the series. Have a nice weekend.

Very sad to hear that Masako Izumi (和泉雅子) died on July 9 of cancer. She was 77. She and Meiko Kaji (梶芽衣子) came up through Nikkatsu around the same time and were in a bunch of movies together. I always liked seeing her and thought they played off each other well.

On September 24th, Cinema-Kan is releasing Kaburagi Hajime (鏑木創)'s soundtrack for Blind Woman’s Curse (怪談昇り竜). It includes 2 tracks by Meiko Kaji (梶芽衣子), Jingi Komori Uta (仁義子守唄) and Koi Ni Inochi Wo (恋に命を), both on the Gincho Wataridori (銀蝶渡り鳥) album.
