Fu for Thought

In my opinion, Gibbs needs another emcee to play off. Halfway in I started getting bored of him. He’s dope but I don’t feel like he’s enough. With that said, this is a solid album. Not as good as Clipse or Raekwon, but still one of the better LP’s of 2025, probably.

If you’re a dude and you like a woman to put a finger in your arse - or even if you like her to crash your back doors in with a strap - you’re not automatically gay. “Gay” is same sex attraction. And no, this isn’t confession. Here come the insecure “Nah bro” dudes.

This is one of my most used emojis. I usually use it when I’m trying to give someone a little more respect than a high five. Like if someone likes the same obscure kung fu flick I like, they get the salute. It’s just a respectful acknowledgement.

Moving on to what I hope is the better album - Bronze Nazareth and Apollo Brown’s Funeral for a Dream. Apollo Brown is probably in my top 5 producers of all time. I love his beats. Bronze Nazareth is pretty nice with the rhymes too.

A day off work didn’t help today. For the last two days, I’ve felt really “off.” Just randomly started crying today. No idea why. Just felt emotional. But I have a weekend full of movies (The Mystery of Chess Boxing and Fantastic Four on the big screen) and podcast recording.

Despite not being the biggest fan of The Alchemist, I’m #NowListening to Alfredo 2 from him and Freddie Gibbs. Five tracks in and I’ve liked three of them. Even one with my most despised feature, Anderson.Paak. Gibbs ain’t the best on the mic; but this is smooth shit so far.

I just remembered that I once met Carol Vorderman at a house party. What a life I’ve lived.

Why does this one never get a mention? Too heavy on the comedy, maybe? I love the Jiangshi scene (even the “disco” moment), the comedy mostly hits and the fight scenes may be Shaw Brothers’ most underrated. Absolutely bonkers martial arts on display.

#NowWatching Kid from Kwangtung (1982) Revisiting this one. It’s been a while. I bought the @88_Films release and just never got around to chucking it in the Blu-Ray player.

Bloodlines makes Late Night With The Devil look like a masterpiece.

I think I noticed something in M3GAN 2.0. Instead of CGI head replacement and “hiding” stunt doubles (which was also done), I think they cleverly made a mask of Ivanna Sakhno’s face. That way they don’t have to hide her double’s face during the action sequences.

Oh and it features the worst cover of “This Woman’s Work” you’ll ever hear.

Is this the stupidest film ever made? Yes. Is it awful? Well, yeah. But it’s also entertaining as fuck. I had a blast watching, despite it being ludicrous. Tonally it’s very messy and none of it works. But it’s FUN! Turn your brain off, succumb to the daftness.

GHOST KILLER is more than a triumph. It’s simply one of the best films of 2025. It may even be my second favourite behind Sinners. Akari Takaishi is a superstar and drives the film by herself, but it’s Mario Kitoba’s cool as a cucumber hitman that adds a the coolness. Loved it.

Ok, so I smoked my first full sativa joint last night. Wild experience. Very almost lost my shit, but ended up really enjoying it. Anyway, the Smoke Buddy? It fucking works! Breathe smoke into this bad boy and you get nothing but fresh air out the other side. Wild.
