🚨 Now out in Emotion! 🚨 📄 psycnet.apa.org/record/2026-20… Grateful to all collaborators 🙏 — excited to share this work!
🚨 New preprint alert! 🚨 Our latest study focuses on identifying adolescents at heightened risk of developing depression by examining how emotion regulation dynamics during this critical developmental period predict future symptoms. osf.io/preprints/psya…
🚨New paper on emotion rigidity as a risk factor for future depression now out in BRAT! Thanks to @ChrisWebbPhD, @DiegoPizzagalli, and the awesome Tedylab team, @NigelJaffe , KristinaPidvirny, and @AnnaTierney8 for wonderful teamwork! 🙌 Free50d access: authors.elsevier.com/a/1lRqe1KMdl0p0
Had a fantastic week in Germany & the Netherlands presenting my formal modeling work at Utrecht’s EPP Lab (thanks to @GeertJanWill, Iris Engelhart & Mirjam v. Zuiden) and UvA’s Theory Methods Lab (thanks to @BorsboomDenny). Wrapped up at #CPC2025, grateful for all conversations!
Woohoo! We had so much fun working on this 🤩
Almost exactly one year after starting my lab (!), I'm thrilled to share our first preprint! 🥳 @ukeleily @sharinahamm @francesghart We propose future directions for mathematical, computational, & digital methods to advancing suicide research. Preprint: osf.io/preprints/psya…
Congrats to Penn State Psych grad student Nigel Jaffee for earning a National Research Fellowship from the NSF and to Lucia Herrero, Onyinye Obi-Obasi, and Cassandra Franke for being recognized with honorable mentions. We are very fortunate to have so much amazing talent!
Calling for abstracts for the 2025 @ABCTNOW convention by Aug 15! Submit your Student SIG poster abstracts here: forms.gle/YY7VyxZDDgKPdE…
Please share: Yale Psych & Med are hiring a clinical psychologist for Transitions Clinic (serving formerly incarcerated people). Therapy, assessment, groups in halfway houses, supervision opps. Strong EBT skills & interest in justice-impacted populations. sjobs.brassring.com/TGnewUI/Search…
Excited to share a new preprint w/ Tessa Blanken, Han van der Maas, & @BorsboomDenny! We discuss the striking (implicit) assumption of path symmetry in current theories of psychopathology, which is misaligned with complex dynamical systems. Read more: osf.io/preprints/osf/…
So excited to teach two workshops this summer - always a highlight of my year! Come join us 🤩 1. Machine Learning (July 14-17) w/ @jeffreymgirard: smart-workshops.com/ml-info 2. Assessing Suicidal and Nonsuicidal Self-Injury (August 21) w/ Kathryn Fox: smart-workshops.com/sitb-info
I'm excited to announce that this spring/summer Statistics, Methods, and Research Training (SMaRT) Workshops are live! Check out the offerings here: smart-workshops.com/workshops Please retweet and share widely! Some more info in 🧵 1/
Shoutout to @ABCTStudentSIG & Chair @francesghart for a rewarding & enriching FREE student research symposium today! Honored @ABCT_PPDsig could be a part of it.
If you haven’t seen this 👀👀

The three-month research visit with @SachaEpskamp @NUSingapore was a great memory, and even more excited with research output. We share a novel approach to compare networks models in time-series and panel data, which we term invariance partial pruning (IVPP).
Had an amazing time chairing my first symposium on Formal Modeling in Clinical Psych. So lucky to have had this incredible group of speakers, and so grateful to everyone who came by and contributed to the discussion! #APSDC25 @KyraCEvers @EmmaRToner Don Robinaugh @ShirleyBWang
