National Fire News: 07/23. A total of 70 large fires are burning nationwide. 15,664 wildland firefighters & support personnel are assigned to incidents, including 20 CIMTs. So far this year, there have been 39,038 wildfires reported in the US and a total acreage of 2,976,081.
