GIG UPDATE: The Hidden Cameras. A solo performance, but with a voice that golden, who needs a band? Plenty of old stuff - including Animals of Prey (!) and Ban Marriage (!!) - but the new stuff, much more dancier and clubtastic, is sounding ace as well. Joel for Eurovision!
Tonight’s gig is an an absolutely tiny venue, to the extent that, after going downstairs and opening the doors, I briefly thought I’d taken a wrong turn and had gone into a backroom by mistake and was about to apologise.
I’ll be honest, when I got a notification saying Parade had announced a gig, I was excitedly expecting to find out that the now defunct girl band had reformed and not, well, this.
