FLUFET
@flufet_EIC
FLUFET stands for "FLow detection of virUses by graphene Field Effect Transistor microarrays", EIC project to develop a sensor to detect know and unknow viruses
Welcome to October! If you’d like to learn more about what we do—creating a real-time monitoring system for known and unknown viruses with the potential to infect humans on animal farms, aimed at preventing zoonoses and pandemics—check out this video! 😍
Excited to see @vir_cendan, our PhD student, representing FLUFET at #Graphene2025 in #SanSebastian! This is a great opportunity to share her research, so if you spot her at the conference, don’t hesitate to say hi and ask questions, she’ll be happy to chat! #FLUFET

We have new toys!! We can't say much more, but we are working on the FLUFET device! Stay tuned for further updates, and feel free to ask us anything you want to know about our project. #FLUFET

📽️Our #ProjectOfTheMonth is @flufet_EIC. Do not miss this video explaining the project's details. The goal is to create a rapid detection device, based on graphene field effect transistors, for a wide range of viruses on animal farms. youtube.com/watch?v=Is8UmJ…
We are happy to foster close collaboration between our partners! Members of @CICbiomaGUNE and @CICAUDC visited @graphenea's facilities to exchange knowledge and drive progress together. It is a real pleasure to collaborate with these people!! #FLUFET #EIC_pathfinder

🎉 A year of progress! Our research project celebrates its first anniversary and we celebrate it with a meeting full of ideas and achievements. 🚀 Let's go for more! #FLUFET #EIC_Pathfinder #1YearOfSuccesses

🔬🌱 Meet some of our partners in bioelectronics and biosensors at #EUROMAT2025! 📢 F4 – Emerging Materials and Technologies in Bioelectronics and Biosensors euromat2025.com/f-materials-fo… #Bioelectronics #Biosensors #MaterialsScience 📍 Granada, Spain | 📅 Sept 14-18, 2025
One of our project partners, @graphenea is looking to recruit a Cleanroom Process Engineer. #Hiring If you are a proactive and detail-oriented engineer with a passion for advancing #graphene and #semiconductor technology, read the requirements and apply to it!

Last week at #GrapheneWeek, our colleague Amaia Rebollo delivered an insightful talk on ‘Opportunities in Graphene-based Biosensors,’ and also took the opportunity to highlight FLUFET. Thank you! @graphenea @GrapheneWeek

This week is #grapheneweek2024!! Two of our partners @graphenea and @VTTFinland have their respectives presentations. Highly recommended!!

We want to share this paper from Nature "Farmed fur animals harbour viruses with zoonotic spillover potential" rdcu.be/dS3fn, in which it become clear the importance of monitoring viruses with zoonotic capacity, like we propose to do in FLUFET! flufet.eu

If you are an Electronic Engineer or Electrochemical Scientist with a background or experience in field effect transistors we would like to know if you would be interested in working with us.!! Contact us in [email protected] or nanoselflab.com.

We want to welcome Davide Campagnol to the FLUFET project. Davide will be working as a postdoc researchers with graphene field effect transistors to develop a sensor to detect infectious zoonotic threats before they spread to humans. We are glad to have you on the team, welcome!
Today is Europe Day, to celebrate peace, unity and democracy throughout the Union. We like to think that we are also contributing our part by conducting scientific research and aiming to help society with our knowledge! #EuropeDay flufet.eu

It is for situations like this that research like the one we do at FLUFET, for early warning of viruses, focused on possible zoonoses, with a biosensor based on graphene field effect transistors, is needed.
⚠️ BREAKING Bird flu outbreak in humans suspected on Texas farm It comes amid concerns that eight people in India may also be infected with bird flu. Nearly 2,000 chickens in the area have also been culled after the infections were confirmed.
#FLUFET, a #graphene field effect #transistor-based sensor, will be used for #infectious #zoonotic #disease detection. The automated #sensor will continuously identify a wide spectrum of targets, including previously unknown #viruses. #GFET @flufet_EIC graphenea.com/blogs/graphene…
