My whole life I heard the"Satanic Panic" was nothing but crazy Christians trying to ban Halloween and Metal. Then you dig into the Newspaper.com archives and realize how many ritualistic murders w/ satanic overtones took place and were prosecuted in that era.
Just the tip of the iceberg. You'll see a case in that book, sometimes only noted in passing. Think to yourself "No way, that doesn't sound plausible." Then you pull the Newspaper(dot)com reporting on it, only to confirm it's true and far more.
