I agree. A reason I never ventured too deep down the behavioural path. It is an important part of modern economics. But with every school of thought it can act as a cognitive constraint. Same with tools: if you only have a hammer every problem looks like a nail. Plurality is key!

I think I agree with @JuliusProbst -- care costs etc do matter, but I think many young adults are just disheartened by the "rat race". The context is one of heightened insecurities in some Western democracies around meeting the most basic needs (housing, affordable healthcare,β¦
