FCCA afterschool students hit the beat while rapping about being born in Flint. Take a listen and look at this super cool video! Thanks to @theFlintCenter for your work in the afterschool space at FCCA! Let's go! drive.google.com/file/d/1i5h-34…
9th graders toured the UM-Flint College of Innovation & Technology, stopping by the engineering machine shop to collaborate as a team to code & test sensors. This hands-on experience was both rewarding and inspiring as they explored the potential of cutting-edge technology!

We had a great turnout for both days of our 5th-8th grade girls’ Volleyball Camp!

Our new high school is growing and we are seeking passionate and student-centered educators to help us build something exceptional from the ground up! We currently have job openings for teachers in English, Social Studies, Math and Science. Apply here: gecs-inc.org/flint-cultural…
We hope all of our FCCA scholars are finding fun ways to beat the heat and enjoying their summer!

Our Middle School students had a blast during their field trip to Michigan Adventure theme park!

The 8th Grade “Sneaker Ball” was a huge success. Take a look at these stylish FCCA 8th grade students on their way to our high school experience!

Joe and his team from The Lion Heart Experience recently made another visit to FCCA and brought the joy of belonging to full effect! Take a look at the faces of these happy kids!!
Look at the engagement of our scholars as they think about designing the 1st state park in Genesee County! FCCA students share their creative designs with Michael Van Valkenburgh Assoc Inc team as the Chevy Commons State Park is coming to life at the former “Chevy in the Hole".

End of year assessments can weigh on scholars & educators. Kindergarten educators Miss Thomas & Miss Jessie make the best of it with “Assessment Bootcamp.” Things are as we see them & we’re proud FCCA Crew sees things as opportunities rather than challenges. Connections first!!

FCCA students participated in an Art Contest presented by the MI Public School Academies celebrating MI Charter Schools. Students created pieces incorporating FCCA, the Capitol, @GovWhitmer & @mayorneeley along with things students love about the state of Michigan and our school!

Congratulations to FCCA Scholar Shula for reading the most in our school and capturing the honor of winning Sheriff Swanson’s “Reading Month Extravaganza” challenge! Well done Shula!! 📖 @CountyGenesee

It’s Teacher and Staff Appreciation Week! We are so blessed and fortunate to have such an amazing CREW here at FCCA! Thanks for what you do EVERY DAY for our students and each other to make a difference in the lives of others.

Thanks @UMFlintNursing for tour of Simulation Center. FCCA students participated in 3 hands-on, rotating activities: Distracted Driving, Stop the Bleed & Vitals. Another group of students visited @UMFlintSOM to take part in leadership & entrepreneurship activities.

It’s always exciting to see our students’ work on display. Thank you to the @greaterflintart Greater Flint Arts Council for featuring FCCA art work as well as those from high school artists throughout the community.

Only a few more days left to apply for the 2025-26 school year! FCCA also has limited spots available for the upcoming school year in 10th grade as well!

The FCCA Cyclone Crew enjoyed hosting representatives from @IllustrateMath and @TNTP as we reflect and analyze our work in the area of mathematics. Math is everywhere and we love observing our scholars engaged in real world problem solving.

Congrats to FCCA “Super Star” educator Whitney Rubin for being nominated for the Caring Adult Award at the annual “Children’s Champion Award Breakfast”. She makes a positive impact on our scholars, families and staff day in and day out. We appreciate you Mrs. Rubin!
