Grateful for the opportunity to plant the seed of paleoproteomics in Pakistan 🇵🇰 by presenting on one of the most accessible public platforms with broad outreach. Excited to see the curiosity it’s sparking! 🧬🦴 youtube.com/live/5QdN-zy_1… @PUSHH_ETN #Pakistan @paastacommunity

There are two parts to PhD supervision: 1. Developing the research 2. Developing the researcher. It's easy to focus on the research and forget the researcher. But good supervision means doing both.
I think it's so great how every year during the summer campaigns at Atapuerca there are new press events for things they are finding and working on, long before they come out in academic journals. This is a way to let people into the process of science! comunicacio.iphes.cat/eng/news/new/8…

Two great new studies out in @Nature today, pushing back the recovery of dental enamel proteins to 21+ million years in the Arctic (doi.org/10.1038/s41586…) and 18+ million years in East Africa (doi.org/10.1038/s41586…) #palaeoproteomics!
🔬 New research published @Nature pushes the boundaries of #paleoproteomics! We've retrieved enamel proteins from a rhinocerotid 21-24 million years old found in Canada's High Arctic. #Paleontology #Evolution #AncientProteins Read the article here: nature.com/articles/s4158…

Hey If you are in Islamabad Feel free to join me for a conversation on this very interesting topic.🦷✨ *Teeth as Time Capsules* _Fossil Clues and the Secrets of Ancient Lives_

🧬NEW: Our Dr Palesa Madupe & colleagues from @GLOBE_UCPH have retrieved some of the oldest human genetic data from #Africa. They identify 2million year-old protein remains from Paranthropus robustus to reveal its biological sex & genetic variability. bit.ly/3HiOgqP
Thrilled to have contributed in a project that uncovers ancient history through proteins. As a Pakistani woman in STEM, this journey hasn’t been easy, but it’s moments like these that make it all worth it. Cheers to incredible colleagues #WomenInSTEM #Paleoproteomics #Pakistan

Happy 100 years since discovery, Taung Child! Today our students are working with the Taung material in their practical classes, so it felt very fitting to acknowledge the 100th year 🎂 ☠️ 💀
