Deep inside the hanging fuschia basket — a wren’s nest. I’d taken the basket down to water and remove spent flowers but luckily discovered this before I went too far. Mother is safely back on her nest now.
Mystery solved! Finally found the label for these roses I bought years ago and she has a name now. Notably, her attributes far exceed those touted on the label, even fragrance. Easy to Love, Easy to Please!
