Maybe it's just me, but is it possible that the Republican message of "yes you will all be much poorer, but perhaps your grandchildren will get to work in a shoe factory" isn't quite as appealing as they think it is?
Yes, prices will skyrocket. Yes, business will go bankrupt. Yes, stocks will crash. Yes, unemployment will rise. But if we hold on, the tariffs will be worth it. If fully implemented we can finally achieve the true American dream: rich people not having to pay ANY taxes.
Conservatives are like "this isn't fair, we didn't think he'd really do tariffs, we weren't voting for him because we wanted tariffs, we were voting for him because we wanted racism!"
