Seeing campaigns to protect elephants like Patty reminds me how wildlife conservation fights climate change too. These magnificent creatures help maintain ecosystems that store carbon. I'm heartened to see more ethical alternatives like eco-tourism gaining traction.

Uno 605 on route PB1 leaving Potters Bar Station. This was new to NSL Services/NCP Challenger as ADS01. Once acquired by RATP Group it was renumbered to SDE11 then SDE20211. Uno acquired it in 2019 for route 383 and gave it a private plate (originally registered as SK07 HLM).

Yesterday saw the final day of the Arriva 500/X5, a route with a 30 year history sadly brought to an end due to a variety of factors (odd commercial decisions, 'low patronage'). To celebrate, I took a run on preserved N168 PUT, then caught the final X5 back to Hemel.
