I joined Twitter fifteen years ago. I had no idea that I would use it for more than throwaway tweets about my breakfast. Sadly, Elmo thought that $44B might buy him power, and X was born. I've moved to BlueSky.
I'm all for empowering web apps with consent, but it's absolutely flipping ridiculous that there's no browser toggles to turn off the ability of arbitrary websites to: 1. Take full-screen 2. Disable the keyboard 3. Hide the mouse cursor Each could easily require permission.
Logging into @Avis is just so incredibly broken. 100% of the time I have to reset my password, and half of their flows result in 404s.
