North Carolinians are still recovering from Helene. These cuts would only make things worse for Western North Carolina right now. Thanks to @JeffJacksonNC and @MoGreenNCDPI for defending our public schools. #ncpol #ncga #nced cardinalpine.com/2025/07/16/tru…

The more we learn about the impact of the "Big Beautiful Bill," the less there is to like. The wealthiest North Carolinians stand to gain tremendously, but it's at the cost of health care coverage and food benefits for needy families. That is a bad deal. cbs17.com/news/capitol-r…
Here’s How You Can Help Orange, Chatham Locals Affected by Tropical Depression Chantal chapelboro.com/news/weather/h…
The Town of Pittsboro has a dedicated webpage with resources for those dealing with the aftermath of Chantal. pittsboronc.gov/589/Chantal
My thoughts are with Sandra's family after these floods devastated our community yesterday. Please be careful on the roads and listen to local authorities who are providing updates on safe travel in Chatham County and the broader region. newsobserver.com/news/local/art…
Grace Christian in Sanford has led the state in Opportunity Scholarship funding for three years and requires all parents to apply regardless of income. The school has more than doubled its tuition and plans a $98 million expansion. #ncpol #ncga rantnc.com/2025/07/02/sta…
Medicaid expansion has been tremendously positive for North Carolina. It has genuinely saved lives. But now, the US Senate is rushing to pass a bill that would kill Medicaid expansion in North Carolina. This is about people’s lives, not politics. #ncpol #ncga
Republicans in Washington are working hard to pass legislation that could kick nearly 80,000 rural North Carolinians off of Medicaid and cut rural Medicaid spending in our state by $6.4 billion. Unconscionable. #ncpol #ncga kff.org/policy-watch/h…

Lawmakers left Raleigh for the summer break without completing our most basic responsibility: enacting a state budget. This has been one of — if not the — least productive sessions in a decade. #ncpol #ncga

Day of Giving Update from our own Attorney General, @JeffJacksonNC. Watch and make a contribution today!
It was an honor to join this panel for @NCACC and share updates from the General Assembly last week.

Today, the House passed additional funds for Hurricane Helene relief. It was sorely needed but doesn't go far enough, particularly for small businesses that are hanging on by a thread. We need to do more, and quicker. Politics can't get in the way of recovery. #ncpol #ncga
Happy Juneteenth, North Carolina!
Happy Juneteenth! We honor this day by recommitting to justice, equity, and opportunity for all. #juneteenth2025
Repealing concealed carry permits is a bridge too far. SB50 is an extreme bill that would make North Carolina families and law enforcement officers less safe.
Americans overwhelmingly support requiring a permit before carrying a concealed gun in public. We cannot afford to roll back these common sense, reasonable policies that help keep communities and law enforcement officers safe. #ncpol #ncga
This floor vote is expected during the House session today. If it became law, anyone age 18 and up could carry a concealed gun with no permit. If they even call the vote, because there aren't enough votes for a later veto override in the House. #ncpol newsobserver.com/news/politics-…
