Btw as an aside, we didn’t announce on Friday because we respected the IMO Board's original request that all AI labs share their results only after the official results had been verified by independent experts & the students had rightly received the acclamation they deserved
Advanced version of Gemini Deep Think (announced at #GoogleIO) using parallel inference time computation achieved gold-medal performance at IMO, solving 5/6 problems with rigorous proofs as verified by official IMO judges! Congrats to all involved! deepmind.google/discover/blog/…
Very excited to share that @windsurf_ai co-founders @_mohansolo & Douglas Chen, and some of their talented team have joined @GoogleDeepMind to help advance our work in agentic coding in Gemini. Welcome to our new team mates from Windsurf! theverge.com/openai/705999/…
I always suspected people overestimate the productivity gains from AI, especially in large projects with extensive context (not just code, but deep project-specific experience). But I'm still surprised to see copilot tools actually slowing down development in practice🤯
We ran a randomized controlled trial to see how much AI coding tools speed up experienced open-source developers. The results surprised us: Developers thought they were 20% faster with AI tools, but they were actually 19% slower when they had access to AI than when they didn't.
I normally don't like lines like "2025 will be the year of X", but between this and the Apple adaptation of Neuromancer, damn it if 2025 (or 2026?) isn't gonna be the year of cyberpunk (media) 🚀
Night City lives on. Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 is in production.
Congratulations to the @xai team for launching a truly unbiased model.
Oh my god
I don't understand how, after the feedback from S1, and given the budget and visibility, Squid Game S3 still couldn't get it right with the VIPs.
When we hear about Meta paying 100M bags out, are we sure it wasn't just Soham Parekh getting hired for a few hundred SWE jobs across the company?
here is my thesis “Safe Automated Research” i worked on 3 approaches to make sure we can trust the output of automated researchers as we reach this new era of science it was a very fun PhD
Welcome to the Chatsubo, cowboy. #Neuromancer is in production.
