Xi Jinping history lesson: “I have said that fighting a war, in a certain sense, is about fighting logistics. Our ancestors recognized this truth long ago, as the saying goes, “Before the troops move, provisions go first.” In Chinese military history, such examples abound ...
Most dystopian stories are terrible because it depicts people as being "oppressed" by the dystopia and wants to overthrow it, if only there's a spark that will ignite the Revolution. In reality most people will totally love the dystopia. They will vote for it.
Another one to add to the British public love a ban list, by a 3-1 margin people back banning the sale of slushies to children. Parents of young children are the most supportive.

Brzezinski: “there’s a famous saying by Sun Tzu ‘the best strategy is to let your opponent defeat himself.” Not only does Sun Tzu not say this, it's antithetical to what he does promote: invade your enemy, drive deeply into his territory, then divide his forces and conquer him
By far the oddest part is two chapters devoted to introducing a 2006 strategy document on China he claims was written by a U.S. naval officer and endorsed by President Bush which then became the new “Kennan Long Telegram.” The problem? Both the report & its author are fictitious.
Completed a translation of retired PLA colonel Liu Mingfu’s 2017 follow-up to his popular 2010 book, “The China Dream.” The subtitle is somewhat misleading. He doesn’t really “dialogue” with Kissinger’s “On China,” rather he rehashes & reiterates the “China Dream” thesis …

Here we have an example where 灋 (法) does not yet mean "law" or "to model oneself on", but "disregard, abandon" (later written as 廢): 勿灋朕命 "you shall not disregard my mandate". In the received literature (Book of Songs), this is written as 無廢朕命.
Fa 法 ("law") is an abbreviation of the character 灋. The story told in the Shuowen Jiezi is that it is composed of a mythical unicorn 廌 that "levels like water" 氵 and "removes" 去 those who are not in the right. However, that might just be a fanciful Han-era folk etymology 1/6
